    Hi, I am Marium Qaiser, wholeheartedly committed to advancing the mission of Mpirical Health. I founded Mpirical Health out of an unyielding passion for scientific advancement and a deep-seated desire to confront the most significant global health challenges head-on combining my love for science and innovation.

    My belief is simple yet profound: health is a fundamental right, and everyone deserves access to quality healthcare. At Mpirical Health, we’ve made it our mission to close the gaps in health disparities and fortify health systems through a sustainable bottom-up approach. Our secret weapon? Collaborations and partnerships that breathe life into inspiring projects, led by a stellar team of advisors.

    The Journey to Mpirical Health

    Marium is a skilled independent health consultant, with a background in both public and private sectors. Mpirical Health was founded out of an unwavering passion for science and innovation, Mpirical Health is on a mission to confront and conquer some of the most pressing global health challenges of our time. With an impressive seventeen-year journey spanning Research & Development, manufacturing, commercialisation, and global health, Marium is a dynamic force in the healthcare landscape. She is known to challenge the status quo by combining her experience in biopharmaceutical science, research & development, strategy, operations, and digital innovation in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Marium has crafted a haven for ground-breaking solutions.

    In previous roles, Marium has been senior scientist, working on blockbuster medicines for Asthma & COPD, regional manager for Africa working on technologies for substandard and falsified drugs, Director for commercial strategy and operations at GlaxoSmithKline, held roles running the Council for Heart Health secretariat in partnership with Novartis, Senior Consultant for COVAX and other advisory roles with International NGO’s. Through her experience on the ground, she believes there is a real need to dedicate efforts towards bridging the gap between the global North and global south for sustainable change.

    Mpirical Health is not just a consultancy; it’s a catalyst for positive change, a beacon of expertise, and your steadfast ally in the pursuit of better health solutions.

    Beyond her role at Mpirical Health, Marium holds leadership positions in the pharmaceutical industry, collaborating closely with governments and regulatory bodies to develop policies and capacity for instigating positive change. Her influence extends to charitable work; she serves on the board of trustees for organizations dedicated to hepatitis elimination, clean water initiatives, and building healthcare capacity.

    Since 2017, Marium has served as a mentor, guiding medical and scientific students in the UK to develop leadership skills, and providing opportunities for exposure in challenging, resource-limited environments in low- and middle-income countries. The purpose is to foster a greater sense of purpose and responsibility, encouraging them to think outside the box.

    She also serves as the Chair for The Foundation for Healthcare UK, committed to raising awareness on Hepatitis Elimination projects and continues to drive positive transformations to inspire change in the healthcare landscape to meet Sustainable Development Goal 3.3. By 2030, the goal is to end the epidemics of AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, and neglected tropical diseases, and combat hepatitis, water-borne diseases, and other communicable diseases.
